Mohs Surgeon / Dermatologist Job Near Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job-9238
**Accepting 2027 Mohs Fellow Applications!
An established, well-resourced dermatology organization in the Minneapolis area is seeking a Mohs Surgeon / Dermatologist to join a highly regarded team of dermatology professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys both Mohs surgery and comprehensive dermatology and wants to step into an established practice with meaningful surgical volume, experienced support and room for the Mohs component of the position to continue growing.
A Strong Foundation for Mohs Surgery
Step into an established patient market with the infrastructure and resources needed to practice efficiently from the start.
The incoming surgeon can expect:
- A four-day full-time workweek
- Two dedicated Mohs surgery days per week initially
- Two days of general / medical dermatology with the opportunity to incorporate cosmetics
- Approximately 810 Mohs cases per surgical day
- Opportunity for Mohs volume to expand as patient demand grows
- Experienced clinical and administrative support
- Medical assistants and office staff who help maintain efficient daily workflows
- A collaborative environment alongside 10+ respected dermatology professionals
Resources That Support Your Practice
Join an established organization offering substantial operational resources and experienced administrative infrastructure. Physicians benefit from the support of dedicated clinical and office teams, allowing them to remain focused on patient care while working within an efficient, professionally managed practice environment.
The depth of the surrounding dermatology team also provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues while maintaining independence in your own clinical and surgical practice.
Competitive Compensation & Benefits
This opportunity offers a lucrative compensation structure designed to reward productivity and long-term growth, including:
- Guaranteed first-year base salary
- Generous percentage of collections
- Potential sign-on bonus
- Potential relocation assistance
- Health benefits
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Paid time off
- Flexible spending accounts
- Additional comprehensive employee benefits
Candidate Qualifications
Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons are encouraged to apply; however, fellowship training is not required for a physician with substantial prior Mohs surgery experience.
Because the incoming surgeon will need to practice independently from the outset, candidates who are not fellowship trained must have demonstrated experience performing Mohs surgery and be fully comfortable managing cases without on-site surgical training or mentorship.
This is not a part-time Mohs-only opportunity. The ideal candidate is interested in building a long-term, full-time practice that combines Mohs surgery with general / medical dermatology and potentially cosmetic dermatology as surgical volume continues to grow.
Live and Practice Near Minneapolis
Practice in the western Minneapolis metropolitan area, offering convenient access to everything the Twin Cities have to offer while providing the everyday advantages of the surrounding suburban communities.
The region provides access to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, professional sports, dining, arts and cultural attractions, extensive parks and trail systems, lakes and year-round outdoor recreation.
For physicians seeking a major metropolitan market without necessarily living or working in the center of the city, this location offers an appealing balance of accessibility and quality of life.
